Advanced Pipe Services provides a range of engineering and technical services to address the proper use and application of pipe for Manufacturers, Governmental Entities, Contractors and Consulting Engineers.  

Services include, but not limited to the following:

Application Engineering

Application engineering is available for pipe and fitting manufacturers that need engineering services from time to time, but the demand does not warrant full time application engineering staff.  This service provides a seamless interface between your company and your customer giving you the availability of a first class engineering department without the overhead.

Pipe Joint Testing

Advanced Pipe Services provides pipe joint testing for 4" to 60" diameter pipe.  APS now has the capability to test pipe joints in accordance with ASTM D3212.  Combine the pipe joint testing with exclusive self lubricated gasket and pipe jointing design and APS now offers a full range of pipe joint services.

Advanced Pipe Services has over a decade of experience evaluating and determining the root cause of pipe failures.  APS has a successful track record of resolving multi-million dollar litigated cases to the benefit of its clients.

Design Calculations

 

Advanced Pipe Services has expertise to perform soil-structure interaction analysis of installed pipe.  Design analysis and calculations are used for submittals to gain approval for a specific project or ensure product performance in unique applications.   Experience with AASHTO Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) calculations for pipe systems and Finite Element Analysis using CANDE-2007 analysis ensures the level of soil structure analysis necessary for every application. 

 

Pipe and Fitting Design

 

Advanced Pipe Services has designed a number of patentable pipe rib profiles, corrugated profiles, pipe joints and other structural components of the pipe industry.  Advanced Pipe Services is capable of designing products, analyzing the structural performance and predicting the design life. 

Process Quality Control

 

Advanced Pipe Services has the expertise to develop quality control and quality assurance systems to meet requirements of the AASHTO National Transportation Product Evaluation Program    (NTPEP).  Extensive experience with DOT requirements, such as the Florida DOT 100-year service life testing protocol is available for APS customers.
